Founded in 1892, Haileybury is one of the top private schools in the world with campuses in Keysborough, Brighton, Berwick, Melbourne CBD and Beijing (China). Additionally, Haileybury Rendall School operates in Darwin. Haileybury is acclaimed as a great world school, having been named Australian School of the Year at the 2018 Australian Education Awards. The acclaim stems from our highly successful parallel education model, outstanding teachers, small class sizes and an unmatched level of individual attention.
Haileybury is one of the most entrepreneurial and enterprising schools in Australia. The development of Melbourne’s first vertical school, extensive operations in China and the opening of Haileybury Rendall School are all examples of this. In 2017 Haileybury became the first Australian school to have students launch an experiment on to the International Space Station. To be a Haileybury student is to be immersed in an enterprising institution.
Established in 2010, Haileybury Foundation is the entity through which donor support for the School is principally directed. Its broad objective is to anticipate and provide for the funding needs of Haileybury over and above what is provided by school fees and government grants.
There are a number of ways in which you can support the School both now and into the future. Any gift, no matter the size has the power to enhance the School through the scholarships on offer or the building programs.
- Scholarship Fund
- Bequests: The Winged Heart Society
- Haileybury Building Fund
- Class Giving Campaign
Through the establishment of the Foundation’s Scholarship Fund, Haileybury is committed to an affordable education of students from every background. The values of Haileybury promote academic excellence, social justice and equality. Haileybury attracts and retains students from all backgrounds who aspire to achieve the highest standards through a Haileybury education. Your donation to the Haileybury Scholarship Fund enables less fortunate Australian students to experience a Haileybury education and helps those students achieve their full potential.
A bequest is a wonderful way to help the future of Haileybury. For many alumni and friends of Haileybury, a charitable bequest is the easiest and best way to make a gift to the School. By means of your will or other estate plan, you can name Haileybury as the beneficiary of a portion of your estate, or of particular assets in your estate. A bequest may be made to the School in general or may be applied to a particular purpose – for example, towards a scholarship, or to help fund building works at a particular campus with which you or your family have been closely associated. A bequest to Haileybury can be of a monetary amount, or of particular assets (such as shares, or real estate, or a painting, or the proceeds of a life insurance policy). A bequest might also be made of all or a specified percentage of the residue of your estate. By making a bequest to Haileybury, you will be recognised as a member of the Winged Heart Society. Bequests of certain monetary amounts (or of non-cash assets of equivalent value) will also qualify you for the status of Friend, Benefactor, Fellow or Patron of Haileybury Foundation.
