From their very first day at one of our Early Learning Centres, right through to graduating in Year 12, at Moriah College, opportunities are available every day to excite, stimulate and inspire your children to learn – all within our unique Modern Orthodox Zionist Jewish framework.
What is the Moriah Foundation?
The Moriah Foundation was established in 2011 to coincide with the successful Capital Appeal which raised just over $12 million. These funds assisted the College to purchase, from the NSW Government, the land on which it is built. As a result, the College will no longer be subject to periodic rent increases and this ensures our security.
Through the establishment of the Foundation, the College can focus on paying down debt and address the other critical issue it faces – the affordability of a Moriah College education. The need for a Foundation has been identified as a necessary vehicle through which the College can raise money for scholarships, bursaries and educational programs such as the Year 10 Israel Study Tour. It is through the Foundation that all fundraising activities of the College are now conducted.
The Board has been aware for some time of the need to better address the issue of the increasing cost of a private education. The Foundation will help us to develop strategies to provide financial assistance and to create bursaries for the many children whose parents and grandparents prioritise a Moriah education, but for whom the financial obligation is too great. This is the focus of the Moriah Foundation.
By investing in our Moriah Foundation, you are playing a vital role in ensuring the continuity of Jewish education for the students of today and tomorrow.
All donations to the Moriah Foundation are tax deductible.
The ultimate goal of the Moriah Foundation is, quite simply, to ensure that as many Jewish children as possible are able to receive a Moriah education.
